One address, read by the person who edits the site. Corrections come first — a wrong number on a specification page is the thing we most want to hear about.

What we can help with

Corrections

Name the page and the product, give the figure as published and the figure you believe is right, and say where you found it — the manufacturer’s page or the product manual is ideal. We check it against our source and fix it in place, with the last-updated date changed.

Coverage requests

Tell us which category you looked for and could not find. We cannot promise it — a category only gets a comparison page if the specification data supports one — but requests are how we decide where to look next.

Method questions

How a figure was derived, why a column is missing from a table, what a coverage percentage means in practice. If a page is unclear about its own limits, that is a fault in the page and we would like to correct it.

Press and citation

Quote or cite anything here with attribution and a link. If you need the provenance of a specific figure for something you are writing, ask and we will point you at its source.

What we cannot help with

We cannot advise on your tank, and we will not guess. Dosing rates, target parameters, stocking, whether a heater is sized correctly for your volume, why something died — none of these can be answered from a specification sheet by someone who cannot see the tank. Generic numbers applied to a specific system are how animals get killed, and that is not a risk we will take with an email. The hobby’s forums, with people who can ask you follow-up questions, are the right place for those.

We also cannot help with:

  • Diagnosing an equipment failure or a livestock loss. We do not run tanks and have never seen yours.
  • Warranty, returns or order problems. We are not a retailer and have no access to any order. Go to the retailer you bought from, or to the manufacturer for a warranty claim.
  • Product recommendations. We do not make them. The comparison pages exist so you can place a product against its category and decide with the numbers in front of you.
  • Guest posts, link exchanges and sponsored placements. None of these are accepted, and messages proposing them are not answered.

Privacy

Your email is used to reply to you and for nothing else. There is no mailing list to be added to and no newsletter to be subscribed to. The privacy policy covers how correspondence is handled and how long it is kept.

Common questions

I found a wrong figure. What should I send?

The page URL, the product, the published figure, the correct one, and a link to your source. That is everything we need to verify and correct it.

Will you review equipment if I send you a sample?

No. We do not test, so a sample would have nothing to contribute and would not get a product covered.

Is there a phone number or postal address?

No. This is a small editorial operation and email is the only channel — read by the person who writes the pages, not by a support queue.

Can I republish your comparison tables?

With attribution and a link back, yes. Please include the date, since the figures are a snapshot and do go out of date.
